Terms of Service

Acceptance and eligibility

These Terms of Service form an agreement between you and the operator of PDFtoDoc. By accessing or using the service, you confirm that you can enter into this agreement and accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you use PDFtoDoc for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to bind that organization. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

PDFtoDoc provides tools for converting PDF files into supported formats such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, together with account sign-in, quota synchronization, conversion history, downloads, and related web or application features. Available formats, limits, platforms, and features may change over time.

Accounts and security

Some features require Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining control of your sign-in account, activity performed through your account, and the accuracy of information associated with it. Notify the site operator if you reasonably believe your account or conversion history has been accessed without authorization. We may suspend access where necessary to protect the service or users.

Your files and permission to process them

You retain any rights you have in files you upload and results generated for you. You grant PDFtoDoc and its service providers a limited permission to host, copy, transmit, convert, store, and otherwise process those files only as needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the requested service.

You represent that you own the files or have all permissions required to upload and convert them. PDFtoDoc does not acquire ownership of your document content merely because you use the service.

Acceptable use

You must not use PDFtoDoc to violate law or another person’s rights; upload malware or harmful code; process content you are not authorized to use; expose highly sensitive information recklessly; interfere with or overload the service; probe or bypass security; scrape the service through unauthorized automation; impersonate another person; resell access without permission; or circumvent quotas, file limits, authentication, or other safeguards.

Quotas and technical limits

The current free offering is presented as two conversions per day, with free files limited to 10 MB and 10 pages per file. Actual eligibility and remaining quota are determined by the entitlement shown for your account. Limits, supported formats, expiration periods, and fair-use controls may be changed to maintain security, availability, performance, or product sustainability. Attempts to evade limits may result in failed conversions or suspended access.

Conversion results

Conversion is automated and results can differ from the source because of scans, fonts, encryption, damaged files, complex layouts, images, tables, or unsupported PDF features. You are responsible for reviewing results before editing, publishing, sharing, filing, or relying on them. Keep your own copy of every important source file and promptly download results you wish to retain.

Third-party services

PDFtoDoc relies on third-party services, including Google Sign-In, analytics, hosting, and conversion infrastructure. Your use of a third-party feature may also be governed by that provider’s terms. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control, and their availability may affect PDFtoDoc.

Intellectual property

PDFtoDoc, its branding, website design, software, documentation, and service content—excluding your files and third-party materials—are owned by or licensed to the service operator and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms grant only a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right to use the service for its intended purpose.

Availability and changes

We may update, limit, suspend, or discontinue any part of PDFtoDoc, including formats, quotas, applications, and integrations. Maintenance, failures, security events, provider outages, or legal requirements may interrupt access. We may also remove expired files, results, or task records according to service rules.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PDFtoDoc is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise uninterrupted operation, permanent storage, compatibility with every PDF, exact preservation of layout, error-free output, or fitness for a particular legal, financial, professional, or other purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service operator and its suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, business, goodwill, or opportunities arising from use of or inability to use PDFtoDoc. Any liability that cannot be excluded will be limited to the minimum extent permitted by applicable law.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using PDFtoDoc at any time. We may restrict or terminate access when we reasonably believe these terms have been violated, use creates security or legal risk, quotas are being circumvented, or operation of the service is no longer practical. Provisions that by their nature should continue—including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute-related provisions—survive termination.

Changes, law, and contact

We may revise these terms as the service or legal requirements change. The revision date appears above. Continuing to use the service after updated terms take effect means you accept them to the extent permitted by law.

Applicable mandatory law and consumer protections remain unaffected. Questions about these terms may be sent to the PDFtoDoc site operator through the support channel published in the service.
